Careers at TogetherWON

We help adults over 60 stay strong, steady and sharp, in their homes, at our studio in north Colorado Springs and online. We're a small team, and we're always glad to meet people who want to do the same.

Current openings

We don't have any open positions right now. If you'd like to be considered when a role opens, we'd still love to hear from you.

Who we look for

Our clients range from active retirees training for the Senior Games to people rebuilding strength after surgery or living with Parkinson's. The trainers who do best here usually have:

  • A current personal training certification from a nationally accredited organization, such as ACE, NASM, ACSM or NSCA
  • Experience training older adults, or a real interest in learning to. Senior fitness, functional aging or Parkinson’s credentials are a plus.
  • Patience, warmth and the ability to explain an exercise clearly and adjust it on the spot
  • Comfort training clients in their own homes around Colorado Springs, Monument and the Tri-Lakes area, or online
  • A belief that training the brain and balance matters as much as training muscles

What the work is like

Every TogetherWON program trains three things together: the body, the brain and balance. Sessions mix strength work with balance practice and brain challenges, built around each client's goals, health and home. Between sessions, clients follow their workouts in an app and message their trainer.

You'd be working alongside founder Kristen Nielsen, who has trained older adults for more than 10 years. Read more about our team and approach or the programs we offer.

Careers questions

Is TogetherWON hiring personal trainers?

Not right now. We don’t have any open positions, but certified trainers who want to work with older adults are welcome to email a resume and certifications to info@togetherwon.com. We’ll keep it on file for when a role opens.

What certifications do I need to train with TogetherWON?

A current personal training certification from a nationally accredited organization, such as ACE, NASM, ACSM or NSCA. Specialty credentials in senior fitness, functional aging or Parkinson’s exercise are a plus.

Do I need experience training older adults?

It helps, but it isn’t the only thing we look for. A real interest in working with adults over 60, patience, and the ability to adjust an exercise on the spot matter just as much.

Where would I train clients?

Our clients train in their own homes around Colorado Springs, Monument and the Tri-Lakes area, at our studio in north Colorado Springs, or online over Zoom.
